Disclosure Policy

The opinions expressed are those of the blog owner. I post about products that I like or prefer personally. I think one of the best ways to spread the word about a new product is word of mouth from one person to another. Many of the items I now use in my own home are ones suggested by another mom or mom blog.

Although I do receive free samples to review and giveaway, the opinions expressed are still my own. I do not receive payment in exchange for a positive review. If a post is sponsored, I will disclose this information in my post. Again, any compensation or product received, does not in any way influence my opinion of a product. The products I review and promote are usually ones that are good for my family, but may not be good for yours. Please do your research on a product before you buy it and decide if it is right for you and/or your family. I suggest that if you have a question about the product, you contact the company.

I do accept paid ads, but those do not affect my personal opinion on a product. If a paid ad appears in a post (as an advertorial or otherwise), I will disclose that. Paid ads also appear on my sidebar. Any opinions or claims in paid ads are strictly those of the advertiser.I add disclaimers to the end of posts as needed per FTC rules.

As a general rule, I announce giveaway winners in the original giveaway post and email the winner. If there is any deviation from this practice, I will note it in the giveaway rules in the individual post. Please add shannon (at) potamusprefers (dot) com to your address book to insure you receive my emails. I can't be responsible for emails that are lost in spam folders or do not make it through cyberspace. I advise checking the post as well.
