Growing Tree Toys Educational Toy Review

My first born son was born with a love of learning. He loves figuring out how things work. Whether it be a dresser drawer, a pair of shoes (he loves both Velcro and laces) or educational toys, he is a quick learner.

For his most recent birthday, I looked around for a toy that he could lace Check Spellingup, button, and fasten Velcro, but didn't have a lot of luck. The ones I found had small, loose parts and were recommended for much older children.

Recently, I found the perfect toy for my boys' age group... 18 months to 3 years. We received the Dress Up Pirate Toy from Manhattan Toy that is available to purchase at Growing Tree Toys.

The first thing I noticed when he arrived was that this pirate toy is the perfect size (15 inches) for a toddler to carry around and the ties, zipper and buttons are also sized just right for a toddler's hands.

The Dress Up Pirate Toy seems well made and has helped introduce my boys to more advanced dressing skills. Not only does this educational toy teach the boys, but they also love carrying him around. He is a regular overseer of day to day play activities (as you can see in the photos). As a mom, I like that the parts seem securely attached and are not easy to lose.

I also wanted to include a short video of my son and I playing with this neat toy for the first time. Here it is:

Very cute! I've been looking for a toy to practice these skills with my nephew. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

That looks perfect for improving hand eye coordination and learning about getting dressed. It's good to know it doesn't have tiny parts. Great review!

My daughter would have benefitted from this! She's almost 6 now & would just cut everything off when we're not looking. : ) I had a paper/book one for her that didn't last.
