Hana Professional Flat Iron Review & Giveaway

I think I've mentioned before that the weather in the south where I live is crazy. It's very humid and hot during the summer. Winters are back and forth... one day hot, one day cold, one day mild. All of this weather craziness does one thing consistently... it gives me a lot of bad hair days!

I've come to rely on blow dryers and professional flat irons as my go to tools to tame my naturally wavy hair when I want a nice, straight, sleek look. For years, I have relied on my trusty Chi. The first thing I noticed when the flat iron arrived was how well it was packaged. It not only comes with a really nice heat proof storage pouch, but also the silicone mat and special edition tin case. I also received a sample of the Hana Shine Shield and lots of informative literature. When I took the Hana Professional Flat Iron out of the packaging and started to get familiar with it, I noticed how easy it was to get started. As you can see, at left, the heat setting and on/off switch look simple to operate (and they are).

I plugged it in, set it to my desired heat setting and immediately started flat ironing my damp hair (can I say how much I love that I don't have to blow dry my hair to use the Hana?). Oh, and I used some of the Hana Shine Shield and love how soft and shiny it leaves my hair feeling. This flat iron was very simple to use and glided through my hair easily. I only needed one pass on each section of hair to achieve a straight style.

I have been using it for a little while now and really like how easy it is to use and store. We went out of town this past weekend and the carrying case was super convenient. I have had a couple friends try it out as well and they were impressed with the ease of use and how nicely it straightened their hair.
