Now back to our regularly scheduled review...

Happy day, everyone!

How many of y'all Americans have stuffed (no pun intended) tummies from Thanksgiving and empty wallets from Black Friday? Maybe you're online scouring sites for Cyber Monday deals. Some of you may also be tired from hanging Christmas lights or planning your own holiday celebrations. Wrapping those presents is something you may not be looking forward to. You have plenty of time!

In the meantime, I'd like to introduce you to a fun and personalized alternative to tape and generic tags for your presents. Mabel's Labels, a Canadian company known to parents for it's extremely durable, dishwasher/microwave-safe labels, wants you to know they now make Holiday Gift Tags.

From Mabel's Labels...
"No matter what holiday you celebrate, this festive season will be full of giving, and there's no better way to make every gift extra special than with gift tags from Mabel's Labels! Designed to stick to presents, Mabel's Labels' Holiday Gift Tags are round tags that are personalized with any information or message you like."

Their Holiday Gift Tags come in four seasonal designs: Festive Forest, Winter Wonderland, Holly Jolly and Twinkle Twinkle. They are $18.50 for 24 gift tags.

I think it would be such an easy, classy touch to press these on the end of packages instead of tape and on the top instead of a traditional tag. I also think they'd be nice to seal the envelopes on greeting cards.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out a couple of types of Mabel's Labels. I am a bit ashamed to admit that I am guilty of scrawling my kids names on their sippies and other belongings with a Sharpie. It's not a very permanent way of marking their items, but they need all items marked when they go to the nursery at church and it's fast. In comes Mabel's Labels! I have been using their new Label Out Loud™ Sticky Labels on their sippies, lunch kits, toys and other items I don't want to lose. It's easier than a marker and looks a lot better, in my opinion. A big plus? They are durable! They go through the dishwasher and come out look fantastic. I love the bright colors and icons and the boys do too. They smile and point at the train and puppy on the sippy cups. These awesome dishwasher safe labels are $21 for a stack of 45 labels. These should last a long time since they are so durable. Also, check out customer favorite, All-Time Classic Labels.

In addition to the Label Out Loud Sticky Labels, I also had the opportunity to test out their Tag-Mates™. These are an alternative to iron-on labels and a great one in my opinion. There is no sewing or ironing required and they are washable, dryable and durable. These are absolutely perfect when I realize I forgot to pack the boys a change of clothes and we are running late for the babysitter. I can grab a change of clothes and slap these babies on pronto.

Mabel's Labels has a wide variety of labels for children and adults. I am also a fan of their blog, http://www.themabelhood.com/, where I recently learned some neat laundry tips. You can also follow then on Twitter @mabelhood or become a Mabel's Labels Facebook fan here to keep up to date on sales and special promotions.

About Mabel's Labels
"From socks to sippy cups, boots to blankets, t-shirts to toys – the losses were endless! After years of chasing after her children’s belongings at daycare, school and friends’ houses, Julie Cole decided she had to do something. She got together with three female family members and created Mabel’s Labels, to make fun, durable labels for the stuff kids lose! Their Canada-based business began in 2002, and because of Mabel’s Labels’ success the four “mompreneurs,” Julie Cole, Tricia Mumby, Cynthia Esp and Julie Ellis now focus on the business full-time."
