Playskool Toys Review and Giveaway

Growing up, Mr. Potato Head was a popular toy. I loved playing with him and Mrs. Potato Head. It was great fun! I loved pretend toys where I could "dress" them up and change how they looked. These days, there a lot of toys like that, but Mr. Potato Head is a classic and one that has stood the test of time. Playskool from Hasbro has a huge variety of fun, affordable and educational toys for children of all ages (including adult children like me).

Recently, I had the chance to review several Playskool toys.

The newest members of the Mr. Potato Head family offer tons of imaginative fun for playful toddlers. The Fryer Fighter (above) tater is ready to squelch flames with his handy fire extinguisher. Swashbuckling spud Captain Potato Chips (at left) figurine has a peg leg, eye patch, and hooked hand and is eager for action-packed expeditions. Each figure sold separately. Ages 2 years and up. Approximate retail price: $9.99.

The Tumble 'N Twirl Top toy offers different play options to entertain a growing infant. Drop the four balls down the brightly-colored chute and press the button to start the twirling and popping fun! Infants will love to see the swirl of colors as the balls spin around. Older babies can open the door to release the balls and scramble after them in a fun frenzy. Available at most major toy retailers nationwide and on HasbroToyShop.com. Ages 6 months and up. Approximate retail price: $19.99.

Soft and squeezable, tots will love to move these colorful roll-along friends across the floor. The cute little Wheel Pals Classic critters are sized specially for inquisitive toddler hands. Little ones can choose from an assortment of 12 different characters, each sold separately. Ages 12 months and up. Approximate retail price: $3.99 each.

Here is our video review:

Can you tell from the video that these toys are hits? The boys have several other Playskool toys that they have received for birthdays. The toys have always handled their rough play quite well. I think the Wheel Pals would be excellent for stocking stuffers and Mr. Potato Head will bring a smile to young and old alike. The Tumble N' Twirl top is a huge hit. Kids as young as 6 months old enjoy it as much as my 2 1/2 year old.

Buy: These Playskool toys from Hasbro are available at most major toy retailers nationwide and on HasbroToyShop.com.

All my kids have enjoyed Mr Potato Head. They would put his glasses on and their eyes would temporarily cross when they looked through them because the glasses were so small. Proably not good for their eyes, but it was funny. Thanks for the chance!

As a teacher a great memory I have of Mr. Potato Head was that when children brought in a toy or something to share for show and tell on Friday, Mr. Potato Head was the most popular toy to bring, even though other children had already shared their Mr. Potato Head!

I remember having a Mr. Potato head, the original one, when I was a kid and I used to love playing with it putting the ears where the eyes should be and the arms where the legs should be. I just had a good old time with him. I never knew they had a Mrs. Potato Head until I bought one for my daughter for Christmas one year.
