California Olive Ranch Olive Oil: Mmmm Good!

Do you know what one of my favorite things about eating out at Italian restaurants is? I LOVE dipping my bread in the delicious olive oil they poor on a plate and season with herbs and spices. At home, we always keep a large bottle of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) around.

Have you heard of California Olive Ranch? We make a lot of Italian style dishes at home as well and lately I have been using the California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil in all sorts of dishes. Of course, we also use it to make a dipping plate and for bruschetta. It's more than delicious mixed with ravioli and other pastas. I find that this olive oil tastes very smooth and delicious. You can tell it's of the best quality, like what you'd eat in a nice Italian restaurant.

From California Olive Ranch's website:
California Olive Ranch’s trained staff and management members closely monitor the growing and harvesting in our estate groves and the practices of our contracted grower. Rigid quality control, constant product testing, and periodic tastings all help to enhance the exceptionally fresh, just-picked taste of California Olive Ranch’s extra virgin olive oils. We press our olives within hours of harvest to seal in our distinctive fresh taste. California Olive Ranch invites you to taste the difference that our fresh extra virgin olive oil makes.

Tasting notes

  • Fruity nose
  • Smooth and buttery tongue
  • Very slight peppery finish
I love to buy the Buitoni Quattro Formaggi Agnolotti at the grocery store (refrigerated pasta section), cook it up then toss with California Olive Ranch EVOO and a little fresh chopped basil. I then top it with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese and a little freshly ground pepper and salt. It tastes super fancy and is easy and quick to make.

Are you having company over for a New Year's party? Maybe you need to bring a nice gift to the hostess of a party you are invited to? California Olive Ranch's products would be perfect, in my opinion. You can purchase online at www.californiaoliveranch.com. You can also follow them on Twitter @CA_EVOO. There are tasty recipes on their website as well.
