VTech Jungle Gym: Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike Video Review and 3 Day Giveaway

Are you like me in a toy store? This past weekend, I braved the crowds to walk around several toy and department stores looking for the perfect toys for my kids (in addition to gifts for other family members). I love to shop online, but for some toys, I like to see them in person. I always wish I could see them in action at the store, but they are usually boxed up, so that's not possible.

Well, I can help you out with one hot toy this year. Maybe you saw the VTech Jungle Gym: Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike in stores, sale papers or online, but you weren't sure how sturdy it was or how interactive it was. Maybe you were curious what a real kid would think of it. We have several VTech toys so I know they put out a quality product. I was more than happy to let the boys try one out. Here's a video I took of the boys trying out the Giraffe Bike.

Jungle Gym: Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike Product Information

Active play for your wild child!
Get toddlers moving with the Jungle Gym Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike because the more your kid pedals, the more they learn! As your toddler pedals, they'll learn letters, objects and more! This cute giraffe inspired bike includes an adjustable, kid-safe, bouncy seat with three positions that grows with your child and a wide, stable base.

Jungle Gym: Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike Features
  • Encourages learning through five modes of active play
  • Teaches your toddler letters, counting animals and objects
  • Features an LCD screen
  • Adjustable, bouncy seat with three positions to grow with child
  • Features a wide, stable base
This toy is suggested for children ages 18-36 months. Since I have two that fit in that range, I thought it would be good to let them both try it.

My older son tried it out and really enjoyed the music. I think he will love it on a day that he is wanting to do something more active. Today he was in one of those moods where he wanted to sit and look at books. He let his little brother play with it more than he would usually. As you can see, Kieran took right to the sounds and buttons. I think when he's a little older, the peddling will be a snap for him. I like the easy to read display, the easy to use buttons and the many options. My youngest son LOVES to bounce. He about bounces out of his crib on occasion, so I knew anything "jungle gym" in the title would be fitting and fun for the little fellow.

It was easy to take out of the package and put together... a big plus in these parents' eyes. The only minor thing I can say is that I wish it had a volume control.

Buy: The Jungle Gym: Ride & Learn Giraffe Bike is available for $49.99 at http://www.vtechkids.com/ or by clicking here. According to their website, please order by 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 to ensure delivery by Christmas Eve. This product is also available at many brick and mortar stores where toys are sold if you prefer to purchase closer to the holidays.

WIN WIN WIN!
Update: We have our winner. Congrats to #73 Kim @ What's That Smell? who said, "The toy I most remember receiving as a kid was an Intellivision video game system in the early 80's. We were the last people on our block to have a VHS player, and we wanted an Atari like all the other kids. It took a few years but we got an Intellivision system and my sister and I were both ecstatic. thanks!"

Of all things for me it was an EtchASketch. I had asthma as a child, and I remember how good I actually got drawing on the thing. I wore several out, and still have one around the house somewhere!
